Marra Marine Ltd has been operating since July 2018. We’re an established boatbuilding company based in Tauranga, servicing Bay of Plenty, Waikato, Auckland and Coromandel.
Tim Marra is the owner operator of Marra Marine with over 17 years of experience in the industry having been trained by and worked in some of the top custom boatbuilding yards in the country. He and his team are dedicated to providing quality, reliable boatbuilding services in Tauranga. We pride ourselves on exceptional service and have the interest of our customers as a top priority.
Tim has a true passion for everything boating, and has been this way all his life and this is a value held throughout the team.
Our team has a combined 45+ years experience across the boatbuilding industry, which makes us well-positioned to work with you on your new dream project.
Our team have worked on a vast number of projects (from smaller, bespoke builds to experience at the America’s Cup) and can work alongside naval architects and designers to bring your dream vessel to life.
From project management to the hands on work, we truly take care of it all. In 2021 we commenced the build on a 10metre flybridge mould that we will infuse with Carbon Fibre composite to go on a 60ft Vessel.

With these services we are able to offer repairs to almost all inflatable boats. Tim and the team can retro-fit just about any accessory including depth sounders, chart plotters, new transoms, rod holders, and dollies.
We’re confident we can repair most inflatable boat issues, so give us a call before thinking you need a new inflatable! As well as repairs, valets and retrofitting accessories, we have teamed up with the team at Evalift Davits for davit installs. Evalift have been in the business of davit making for a long time, are a fellow local company with a top class product we love and recommend.
