The Apple Pickers’ Cottages are situated on the shore of the Waimea Inlet, set in an idyllic rural landscape of orchards and vineyards with superb estuary and mountain views. Mapua village is just 5 minutes drive away, and the lively Mapua Wharf has cafés, restaurants and galleries. The cottages were built for apple pickers in the 1950s. They have been carefully renovated, retaining their simplicity and authentic charm while adding contemporary comfort.
